In two weeks I’ll be joining the Hernö Gin Cocktail Awards 2019 in Northern Sweden. I absolutely love Scotland with all its rough hills, lush glens and gorgeous coastline. After years of traveling around Scotland I always tend to search for gins inspired by the beaches and coastlines. After years upon years, Edinburgh Seaside Gin still stands out as a perfect example of a genuine Scottish made London Dry Gin with a genuine local touch and feel to it, with coastline botanicals like ground-ivy, bladderwrack and scurvy-grass to give the gin a salinity and depth in the flavour. Such a love gin.
When making Gin & Tonics with Edinburgh Seaside Gin I tend to go for freshness. For example mixing with a slightly sweeter and complex tonicwater like the Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic, and then garnish with lime wheels and a handful of redcurrants.
